Our mail voiders were used under the plate armour by knights who didn’t want to encumber themselves with the weight of a full chainmail shirt. Under the armour, it protects the lower part of the arm and armpit from an attack that targets the weak spot of the armour. PAINSTAKINGLY handmade from dome riveted 16 gauge round rings, each with a diameter of approx. 10 mm, it is an ULTRA-LIGHT piece of chainmail armour. The light mail looks like real armour but without the heavyweight of real chainmail. That’s why it is especially popular in LARP, ren fair and in MOVIE PROP and THEATRE COSTUME.
